Mehdi Shams, is the Cofounder and the President of CRID USA (Center for Robotic Innovation and Development USA). He has more than twenty years of experience in information technology in the United States. He started his career with Microsoft and has worked for many technology giants like Southwestern Bell, (now AT&T), Verizon,, Blue Cross Blue Shield in different capacities. He was the head of PMO (Director) at IPC- Team Health prior to cofounding CRID USA. He was educated at the University of North Texas, majored in computer science with minors in entrepreneurship and strategic management.
Mehdi has spearheaded large software development projects, TELCO infrastructure integration projects, network roll out projects, Federal and States government projects throughout his career. He has extensive experience in American healthcare system. He played a vital role in implementing affordable care act popularly named as Obama care implementation in 14 states for BCBS. Mehdi also lead many development initiatives in the integrated healthcare devices.
Through out his long career Mehdi observed the declining trend in technology education in the US and the speedy disappearance of the innovation support system that had long been existed in the US for past couple of centuries. America is falling behind both in producing technicians, engineers, scientists and overall innovation eco system when many nations are progressing at much higher speed.
Mehdi came up with vision to create a platform for the innovators and high school students across America to help support innovators dreams and bring the dreams to reality. His vision is to create a semi-formal alternative approach of learning for the innovators and a total support system for the innovators which includes everything from idea to reality.
